Ever wondered what a luxury Tissot would look like on your wrist? Starting Thursday at Selfridges Oxford Street, you'll be able to model Tissot's new Touch range without even entering the store.
Ever wondered what a luxury Tissot would look like on your wrist? Starting Thursday at Selfridges Oxford Street, you'll be able to model Tissot's new Touch range without even entering the store.
The Selfridges promotion is part of a greater Augmented Reality campaign that Tissot is running to promote the Touch. Shoppers will be able to experiment with a paper Tissot strap that will interact with the show window promotion so that they see themselves modeling one of the Touch watches. As they move their wrist around the watch they are seeing on screen will move with their actions. As well as seeing how the watch look they will be able to experiment with the various features of the Touch watches, including the diver functionality of the Sea Touch and the altimeter, meteo, compass and thermometer of the other ranges.
Everyone who tries on the AR watches will be able to enter an in-store competition to win a Touch, one of which will be given away each day until May 26.
Of course not everyone will be able to make it to London so for those who want to play with the AR Touch at home the watchmaker has a demonstration on the Tissot site. You won't be able to win the Selfridges prizes but you'll get to "try on" 28 different variations including the new Sailing-Touch, T-Touch Expert and Sea-Touch.
