If you want to buck the big and chunky trend you could do worse that opt for the paper thin designs of Phosphor watches.
This rather cool new Digital Hour Black model, like all Phosphors, features a 12 hour Digital display that's razor sharp clear and crisp. It also comes with a black metal bracelet and a reversible (white on black or black on white.) display. The Phosphor is water resistant up to 50 meters and measures just 38mm wide and just 12.5 mm thick.
How do they get their watches so thin you ask? It's all to do with Phosphor's signature E-ink technology which in the company's words is a "proprietary material that is processed into a film for integration into electronic displays."
Phosphor's website gives you even more detail on the tiny microcapsules and positively charged particles that help power the watch display but frankly, to why let technobabble get in the way of simple design beauty?
