58. By Joanna on March 20, 2011
The perfect treat is something that you ordinarily would not do or have, but once in while the opportunity arises & you are able to indulge in, or give a little extra delight. It's not something you do or have daily, the randomness of it makes it special.
It may sound silly, but as with this competition a voucher to spend on something beautiful that perhaps you couldn't afford to spend money on, but with a voucher you know you have to use it for something special, as opposed to money which perhaps needs to go on everyday necessities .. so a voucher or gift card is definately a guilt free treat :)

Then, later on, sitting in the dusk listening to the rhythmic ticking of a well made watch, soothing your tired little ones with memories of Mums heartbeat whilst having a cuddle. I`m a mother with no leisure
no moment I can spare,
I`m always "putting off"
...I`m in deep despair
My every waking waking hour
is crowded full of work
Forget the art of wasting time
I just cannot stop to shirk
But ...
if I won this wonderful watch
WHAT A PERFECT TREAT THAT WOULD BE
I`d put it on straight away
Look at it constantly twenty hours a day
Time would come from somewhere
I would put it to good use
become an idle watch watcher
this prize the perfect excuse!

I would define the perfect treat as any gift that would make the receiver truly happy. It could be a long hot bath with some salts after a long day, a foot rub for a pregnant woman or a beautiful dinner out for a mother of a young baby. A flower from the garden can be the perfect treat for a mum having a long day. Anything that helps make someone’s day a little brighter, and a little more perfect =)

Something entirely spontaneous and romantic. I once set up a dining event on a private beach my wife and I had access to in Brazil. Whilst me lady was in the bath relaxing, I put the table and chairs out on the little deck we had next to the beach, and served a 3-course dinner when she came out the bath. This was one of the best moments in my life, and my wife's, and it was really very simple, yet tangibly memorable.

Everything that needs to be done (which is lots - I have an ever growing list of things to do that never gets completed) is finished - house is tidy and clean (more relaxing) - then a day out with my hubby and two little boys, home, take away, childrens DVD then when the boys are in bed a grown up DVD, with a cup of tea while i'm flopped out on the settee - lovely.
576. By Stuart Osborne on March 30, 2011
My treat would be a bit selfish and involve a day to myself down the allotment or something (it's my age!) alternatively, a family afternoon out in the nearby woods with a game of football or a run around at the other side with the boys and a picnic - being as it's a mothers day competition, I best plump for the latter. The voucher would be great as she has been through alot these last few years and since we are both now unemployed, I can't even buy flowers right now. Keeping my fingers crossed - she'd love this.

Time out with Mum; taking time to appreciate, the Mother who is a mentor and our best mate.
Treasuring every second spent with family, all grown, and when she misses them, she'll never moan.
Every hour of the day, she'll worry or fret, that the family is happy and never upset.
Mum will just wait, and bide her time; her wisdom on hand ready to prime.

The perfect gift for a woman
Is a babe wrapped in her arms,
To love and pamper and keep safe,
From all those daily harms,
To get to watch that babe grow up,
and to cherise each special hour
As they have babes of their own,
And realise their power,
They now realise what they put you through,
And how much they mean to you,
It would make my amazing mums day,
To recieve this watch from time2.
Even if i do not win,
and another mum gets the watch
I'd like to take the chance to say i love you mum
And thank you lots and lots!
